EXTERNAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT.
CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 31 years. It currently works in 45 districts through its 19 projects and programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs in natural resource management, livelihoods, women empowerment equity and social justice.
CARE Nepal seeks competent,committed and result-oriented candidates for the position of Program Assistant based in CARE Nepal’s Bharatpur Cluster Office (BCO).
Program Assistant:
- The Program Assistant will provide efficient secretarial support to all project located under Bharatpur Cluster and ensure that the communication channels and functioning smoothly. He\She will prepare and arrange documents in a proper way maintain Cluster Office Management and assist in other administrative matters as required by the BCO.
Key Responsibilities::
- Reception and Secretarial Service
- Administer office communication and mail system
- Manage petty cash and stationary
- Maintain library system
- Maintain monthly staff attendance, leave records file
- Maintain record keepig of inventory items and assests in preparing payment document of BCO regularly
- Supervise house keepers/guards
- Provide support to BCO program initiatives as requested by the program team
Key competencies required::
- Intermediate level or equivalent with at least two year of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with mailing facilities, postal charges, mail receiving and dispatcing time.
- Familiarity ith email functioning system.
- Familiarity with CARE filing system.
- Familiarity with CARE’s Program relationship with national agencies, GON and international agencies.
- Familiarity with Secretarial work.
- Familiarity with computer software programs (MS-WORD, WORDPerfect, Excel, Power Point ).
- Knowlege of country office and project mail system.
- Typing/formatting skills.
- Team working attitude.
- Letter writing skill.
- Good commend in English and Nepali
- Gender sensitive and respnsive
- interpersonal and communication skills.
